Our dropzone is designed to provide a safe, fun, and challenging environment for certified skydivers of all experience levels. Before you make your first jump with us, please review the essential information below to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.

To jump at SkyDive USA as a certified skydiver, you will need to complete a quick registration process. This ensures we have all necessary documentation for your safety and compliance with USPA regulations. Please have your current USPA license, logbook, and reserve packing card ready upon arrival.

Registration Process & Requirements

Our registration is streamlined to get you in the air as quickly as possible. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Valid USPA License: All jumpers must hold a current United States Parachute Association (USPA) license (A, B, C, or D). Equivalency from other national associations may be accepted upon review.
  • Current Logbook: Please bring your logbook with verifiable jumps. If you're a recent licensee, we may ask for additional verification.
  • Reserve Packing Card: Your reserve parachute must be packed by a certified FAA rigger within the last 180 days (or 120 days for certain licenses).
  • AAD Requirement: An Automatic Activation Device (AAD) is mandatory for all jumps at SkyDive USA. Make sure yours is in good working order and within service dates.
  • Gear Inspection: All personal gear will undergo a quick inspection by our manifest staff or a designated safety officer.
  • Waiver: You will be required to sign our dropzone waiver. This can often be done online in advance to save time.

Comprehensive Dropzone Rules and Safety Procedures

Safety is our paramount concern at SkyDive USA. We operate under strict guidelines to ensure a safe environment for all jumpers and staff. All certified skydivers are expected to adhere to these rules and procedures without exception. Familiarizing yourself with these regulations is crucial for your safety and the smooth operation of our dropzone.

General Safety Regulations

  • Gear Checks: Always perform thorough gear checks (A-B-C-D) before boarding the aircraft. Do not hesitate to ask for a gear check from another jumper or staff member.
  • AADs Mandatory: A functioning Automatic Activation Device (AAD) is required for all jumps. Ensure it is armed and within its service date.
  • Weather Conditions: Jumps are conducted only when weather conditions are safe and within USPA Basic Safety Requirements (BSRs). Always check with manifest for current weather holds.
  • Minimum Altitude: All main canopy deployments must occur at or above 2,500 feet AGL unless otherwise specified for specific training or demonstration jumps with prior approval.
  • Landing Pattern: Adhere strictly to the established landing pattern. Maintain awareness of other jumpers and obstacles in the landing area.
  • Emergency Procedures: Be familiar with emergency procedures for aircraft and landing area.
  • Drug and Alcohol Policy: No jumping under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Zero tolerance policy.

Specific Dropzone Procedures

  • Manifest Procedures: All jumpers must manifest for each load. Ensure your name is on the manifest board and you are present for your load call.
  • Aircraft Boarding: Board the aircraft only when instructed by the pilot or manifest staff. Follow all boarding instructions carefully.
  • Separation: Maintain appropriate vertical and horizontal separation from other jumpers in freefall and under canopy.
  • Canopy Traffic: Follow the established canopy traffic flow. High-performance landings are only permitted in designated areas and with prior approval.
  • Student Awareness: Be mindful of student jumpers. Give them ample space and priority in the air and on the ground.
  • Incident Reporting: Any incidents, no matter how minor, must be reported to a safety officer or manifest staff immediately.
  • Visitor Policy: All visitors must remain in designated spectator areas. Children must be supervised at all times.

  • Weekend Fun Jumps: Every weekend, our dropzone is buzzing with activity. Come out for casual jumps, meet new people, and enjoy the camaraderie.
  • Formation Skydiving (FS) Wednesday: Dedicated FS organizers are available every Wednesday to build formations of all sizes. Great for progression!
  • Wingsuit Wednesday: Experienced wingsuit pilots gather for flocking and performance flying. Requires C-license and wingsuit rating.
  • Sunset Loads: On select evenings, we offer special sunset loads for breathtaking views and unique jump experiences.
  • Canopy Piloting Practice: Designated times for swoopers to practice in a controlled environment.
